Stephanie is a professional Electro Mechanical Power engineer and has worked in the business for over 25yrs. Liaising with customers, engineers and office staff she provides the technical support ensuring our customers services remain high on our agenda. Also known as the Oracle because she aways finds a solution to a problem.
J started as an apprentice at 16 and is now a director of the business, with years of engineering under his belt and a love of vintage engines & gearbox’s he offers insight and support to our field engineers. He is responsible for development of new services and operations. He can generally be found tearing around Cannock chase on his mountain bike.
Charlotte started her journey undertaking weekend work and progressed to an apprenticeship -she is now a director after almost 20 years (with the lines to prove this), managing the team and liaising with engineers she runs a tight ship (excuse the pun).
Liz joined the team 2 years ago as a Team Leader. Already progressed to Office Manager, Liz is at the forefront of our operations ensuring the team have adequate support delivering the organisations goals. We keep on side… she approves our holidays.
Tushka’ s passion is parts … well most of the time, she has an ability to locate and identify replacements for obsolete parts and is like a dog with a bone. She is also the office rescue coordinator and will be on hand to offer advice and guidance when accidents happen.
Keeping us online and ensuring adequate security and capacity is Paul’s key role in the business. Managing severs, access and control. He also supports Sue in Accounts and deals with contractor and parts invoices liaising with Tushka to ensure everything is as ordered and assists with debt collection.
Emma wears many hats and is called to assist across several departments. Her primary role is supporting accounts and managing contractor invoices and engineering purchases however, her superpower is plying the whole office with caffeine. With a smile on her face, she is always happy to help.
Jemma has recently completed her customer service apprenticeship and is working on becoming more familiar with the support of engineers in the field. She is hot on the phones and will generally be on the end of your call when raising a callout.
One of the newest members of the team is Hannah. Loves history that much she did this to degree level. In her career to now she has worked managing many sporting events. Boating is in her blood; she has fond memories of her grandparent’s boat growing up…and is already finding her feet and passion for the business.
Lauren comes from the NHS, having dealt with doctors calling in sick, she has many skills in terms of logistics. Lauren lives aboard her own boat, with her partner who also works for RCR. Here comes the next power couple of the RCR world.
Lisa is also a new edition of our fabulous team. Total animal lover, her energy can be felt from miles off. Keeping the office, engineers and members in high spirits, Lisa cannot wait to handle your call. She will also be key in implementing a new level of support for vulnerable customers.
Mark was found by our MD at Music Club. Guitar is his instrument of choice. He also lives on board a boat with his wife and has so much enthusiasm, he is infectious among the team. Mark can generally be found behind the camera and representing us on socials. Thank you Mark – We understand this role is not the easiest.
Tanvir is an app developer and loves working on developing new functions and improving the WaterNav and engineers apps to address reported issues. He is currently working on development of an in app game to encourage younger users to interact with the waterways, and a EU version for WaterNav.
Trevor had the dream and the dream became reality…he trained most of our original engineers and although he is now retired continues to offer insight and support in the field. He is also one of the most experienced Rescue and Salvage chiefs and is brought in when we need specialist assistance.
Pete has been involved in the company since inception and between him and Trevor they have attended thousands of callouts. He is the chief Rescue and Salvage Co-ordinator and the face and voice of our YouTube channel.
Engineering Manager Jake keeps the ‘family’ feel real, he can always be relied upon to bring the fun and humour. He has a big personality, keeping our teams positive and productive he enjoys the daily challenges this role provides.
Kez has been with the company for many years and has been responsible for the ongoing training of engineers and apprentices, a stickler for health and safety. He can be found tutoring our members through our courses. A true motorbike enthusiast, he loves tinkering around.
Paul is from a commercial plant back ground and took to RCR like a duck to water, his skills easily transferable and his knowledge on lister engines invaluable. Paul looks after the north west area and can attend callouts from Lancaster to Leeds and down to Stafford…not all in one day though.
PJ is one of the nicest and most genuine people we have ever met. He is so calm. In the years of working with him, his mood is consistently, willing to give anything a go and an asset amongst our team. You will generally find Paul taking great care of our northern members.
What can we say Kane is fantastic… If you have ever met him you will know there is no one more dedicated to your repair than Kane. His mind provides novel ways of dealing with repairs. He has a young family and loves to meet all your dogs.
Andy Joined as an RCR engineer and was quickly advanced within the company due to his knowledge and skills. He is based in the midland and specialises in electrical work but has a passion for rescues and is eagerly developing his experience as a rescue coordinator. He was also named ‘Engineer of the year’.
With a varied background form automobile to plant and with a capacity to think out the box, Kim’s talents have helped to resolve problems that don’t fit in to the norm….and he likes his gadgets to. He has also applied his innovative thinking to help develop services and products inhouse.
Mark we are pleased to have you onboard. Mostly you will find Mark and dog “Guinness” around the Midlands area ready to get you up and running in a heartbeat. Mark came to us having spent most in the life in the plant industry, being a boat owner for many years, he is loving taking his passion one step further.
Having joined just a few years ago Dan has made his mark and received ‘most breakdowns’ award in his first year. Looking after the midlands and being back up for both east and west side he provided a much needed boost for the midland engineering team.
Tom has grown up with this company, what Tom does not know about boating is not worth knowing. Servicing the London /Oxford Area, Tom is eager to get you back up and running and eject himself quickly off the M25 circle.
Workshop manager for Key Diesels – Dave usually has his head in an engine, but also provides telephone support for the engineering team as well as rebuilding and refurbishing engines. He is a Course coordinator and he and kerry work hard to ensure that our course attendees get the most out of their time with us.
Devan recently joined us and is already making waves ( excuse the pun) with a background in Aviation he has meticulous attention to detail and his super power is delivering the highest customer service, one customer recently said he would put him forward for prime minister he was so impressed.
